I was excited about this wedding fromt he moment I saw the church - it was full of windows and gorgeous stained glass. Bridgett and Jared are one of those couples that are just fun to watch. Usually, couples are so nervous being up front that all they can focus on is not tripping, but these two were constantly holding hands (tenderly, not in the nervous-omg-are-we-done-yet way). I just felt welcomed and privileged to be capturing their day.
Catching up on blog posts! These are from the weddings I have been shooting with Curty's Photo - feel free to check out his website! What a fun group this was! Sheena was absolutely radiant and just a fun person to be around. Such a perfect first wedding. It was kind of stormy in the morning, but we got some gorgeous sunshine by the time we started.
Sheena's dad was so much fun!
I've decided that from now on whenever I'm shooting
Yikes! Has it really been six months since my last blog post?! Sorry about that. Well, exciting news. I now have a part-time job working with a local photographer, Curt Miller, doing weddings and portraits. We just finished our first wedding on Friday.
Weddings aren't my forte since it involves so much posing, but it was great to just dive right into it!
Hopefully, I'll start editing my set of pictures today. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to post any since the bride didn't release rights for that. We're also shooting a family portrait session this Sunday, so that will be fun.
I did some experimentation with candles with the other night. I really wanted to get a sweet picture of the smoke (kind of likethis one), but I need a better light source for it. Even though I wasn't successful in getting the picture I wanted, it made me realize that I need to try different things instead of only sticking with what I am comfortable doing.
